Lunch ‘n’ Learns
Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late. Prevent Mental Illness and Mental Health Stigma In Your Work Place BEFORE It Happens.
There is no denying that the workplace has a powerful role to play in someone’s mental health journey, by providing the opportunity for someone to safely say, “I am not OK and I need help“.
At Mega Health at Work, we are passionate about erasing the dangerous stigma surrounding mental health.
-
Stigma prevents people from asking for help
-
Stigma affects people while they are experiencing challenges, accessing treatment and trying to heal
-
Stigma is painful for those who are trying to manage moment to moment
-
We scar people with stigma when we are judgemental and critical
We believe one of the best ways to eliminate dangerous stigma is through open discussion.
To help facilitate this process, we are proud to offer Lunch ‘n’ Learn sessions at your workplace.
The following workshops, along with custom presentations, informal Lunch ‘n’ Learn sessions and consultation, are designed to help mitigate workplace stress and promote positive mental health.
This 1 hour, customized workshop for your team or colleagues can be around any of these topics, or they can be tailor-made to your needs:
-
Self care plans
Life is about balance. Self care plans are the tool that provides insight into our overall health and well being. We will explore together our current habits that are not feeding our overall well being while reflecting on those activities and actions that promote a balanced life.
-
Stress
Chronic Stress can lead to depression if not addressed. Stress however is not a medical diagnosis but a symptom of something deeper. We will explore what stress actually is and how it affects your well being, and ultimately how you can change your habits to bring about a less stressful way of life.
-
Anxiety
The root of all anxiety is fear. Learning how to recognize anxiety in the body is key to learning how to stop it in its tracks. This is a hands on experiential Lunch ‘n’ Learn where you get to feel the benefits of anxiety relief immediately.
-
Depression
Focusing on the past and getting stuck are symptoms of depression. We will explore the signs and symptoms of depression and learn the treatments and resources to help reduce the symptoms.
-
PTSD
PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) is about the trauma we have experienced and how we cope with the effects of that trauma. When our bodily and mental systems are overwhelmed, this means the trauma has not been processed properly and gets stuck in the body. Learning how to release trauma helps you feel better overall. We inform you about the characteristics of trauma and how to manage it.
The benefits of all of our Lunch ‘n’ Learn workshops for you are:
