Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment is found or until the crisis is resolved
Planning for Work-Related Trauma with your Significant Other – A workshop to build skills and concrete plans so First Responders stay healthy, happy and have more successful outcomes in their personal lives.
Can We Talk? – Suicide, PTSD and other trauma/stress related issues are growing concerns amongst first responders. This interactive process facilitated by the MegaHealth at work team, creates a safe, confidential and open space in which to begin acknowledging issues, creating dialogues and even exploring options and solutions.
Trauma in the Nervous System and the Tools of Resilience – This 2-hour workshop will be available to book at your workplace starting Summer 2018! Police, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Services, Nurses, Correction Officers, Security and anyone who experiences trauma or wants to learn about trauma and its effects on the body will benefit from the knowledge offered.
